Dr. Matthew D. Wilkens is the Founder of Meta Global Leadership (MetaLeaders.ai), an executive consulting firm dedicated to re-architecting complex organizations for sustained strategic achievement. His practice is rooted in his original, psychometrically validated research into leadership capacity and change management. Dr. Wilkens adapted the Meta-Leadership Framework—originally developed by Marcus, McNulty, and colleagues to manage large-scale crises—to serve global businesses and organizations. His unique contribution bridges the gap between academic theory and real-world executive need, demonstrating that the same competencies used to command a crisis are required to drive transformative change daily.

 

The firm's flagship offering—the Meta-Leadership Diagnostic & Strategy Engagement—is driven by the Meta-Leadership Inventory (MLI), a proprietary assessment tool developed directly from Dr. Wilkens's research. The MLI is not based on generic surveys; it is a psychometrically validated instrument designed to provide a deep, evidence-based diagnostic across an organization’s human and structural components. He has held executive positions as a Superintendent and Head of School in Europe, the Middle East, and North America. This extensive experience in managing large, complex, and globally diverse organizations provides the practical depth necessary to translate Meta-Leadership theory into actionable, structural change for today’s enterprises. Furthermore, Dr. Wilkens earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Global Leadership and Change from Pepperdine University (2023).
